Technology and Innovation Support Center

Called the Technology and Innovation Support Center (CATI), it was created and designed by the Intellectual Property Registry of Guatemala to provide tools for stimulation and knowledge with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization, WIPO, with the objective of facilitating access to information on Intellectual Property for innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, universities, large, small and medium-sized enterprises in the country, through technological information services and other related services.

 

Goals

  • Assistance in State of the Art searches.
  • General advice on matters and presentation of Trademarks, Copyright and Related Rights, Patents of Invention, Utility Models and Industrial Designs.
  • To facilitate user access to information on Patents of Invention, Utility Models and Industrial Designs, through available databases.
  • Assisting local users in protecting, using, and managing intellectual property assets.
  • Promote the use of and effective access to databases of Invention Patents, Utility Models and Industrial Designs, and other available technical information resources.
